Become a Peer Parent Coach

This opportunity is from the Partnership to End Addiction.

Families experiencing problematic substance use and addiction often feel very isolated. One of the comments we hear most often from parents who have had a child struggle with substance use is that, while they were going through it, they wished they had a confidant and friend who truly understood what they were going through.

If you’re a parent or caregiver who has been touched by addiction, we’re looking for your help.

In 2021, we’re expanding our parent coaching program. Our parent coaches are caring adults who reach out virtually to peers struggling with a child’s substance use or addiction. Parent coaches listen, provide support and suggest resources to parents and other caregivers over the phone. They help parents stay connected to their children and provide the encouragement they need.

Training takes place either via Zoom over the course of six weeks or in person over the course of two and a half days in collaboration with our partners at the CMC: Foundation for Change (CMC:FFC).
