Three Days of Hope

Three Days of Hope coming to Thurston County April 25 – 27, 2016!

A three-day series of brief workshops featuring one of the nation’s leading experts on hope theory and the science of hope, Dr. Chan Hellman is being planned for late April. Using hope theory and science, the offerings of the Three Days of Hope will serve to enhance our community’s knowledge about hope-informed practice and provide us with a common language around hope so that we can advance shared goals around health, hope, resilience and a vibrant community for all.

The series is called Three Days of Hope, and takes place Monday April 25 – Wednesday April 27. Events on days one and two include workshops for building hope in communities, organizations, and education, as well as a workshop for social service providers on the front lines working with children and families affected by trauma, a lunch session on the economic value of hope and more. The third day’s offerings include a keynote session and workshop by Dr. Hellman on addiction, hope and more at the Substance Abuse: A Community Response conference.
