Region 10 Opioid Summit: Planning workgroups and call for proposals

The Region 10 Opioid Summit will be held in a hybrid format on July 25-26, 2024, with an in-person attendance option in Boise, ID.

This year's theme and title is "Breaking barriers, saving lives: Empowering individuals, strengthening families, healing communities, and embracing recovery." At least a quarter of this year's programming workshops will be dedicated to cultural and tribal-based services reaching American Indian/Alaska Native communities.

Planning workgroups

Health Care Authority (HCA) is working to plan the fourth annual Region 10 Opioid Summit and is looking for community and tribal partners in Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration's (SAMHSA) Region 10 (Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho) to participate in its planning workgroup. The workgroup will include five sections:

  • Primary prevention
  • Harm reduction and intervention
  • Treatment
  • Recovery
  • Tribal

Workgroup members will have the opportunity to make recommendations on presentations, encourage connections for submission of proposals, and review proposals for workshop presenters and keynote speakers.

We greatly thank you for considering giving your time and expertise to the Region 10 Opioid Summit workgroup.

If you are interested in participating in the planning workgroup, or have any questions, please email Stacey Okland, Opioid Summit Manager.

Call for proposals

A call for proposals will go out in February 2024. Proposals will be reviewed by the planning workgroup, who will provide selected proposals to the executive committee for final review and selection. You can view previous years' programs on the conference website.
