Prevention Systems Development Manager (DSHS)

The Behavioral Health and Recovery Administration within DSHS has a career opportunity for a creative thinker who can provide key leadership in state prevention, with a passion for training, and development. We're seeking a Prevention Systems Development Manager who's responsible for the implementation of a 5-year Prevention Plan, and the development and execution of the statewide prevention training plan.
 
In your role, you're responsible for collaborating with multiple state agencies and organizations to ensure action plans are implemented from the multi-agency strategic plan and; 
 

  • You'll manage a federal grant with 40 sub-recipients and oversee funding, budget, and expenditures
  • You'll manage state level service data and local data reported to federal systems
  • You'll research and seek new grant opportunities
  • You'll develop and execute a statewide substance abuse prevention training plan which includes addressing professional cultural competency and strategies for health equity
  • You'll manage projects and contracts, including negotiating performance-based contract deliverables
  • You'll participate in and provide guidance on major prevention initiatives and programs including Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative, and substance use disorder prevention
