National Center for Juvenile Justice Website Explores Dual-Systems Integration

A new systems integration section examines dual status youth and policies and practices for integrating information and services to effectively serve them.

The National Center for Juvenile Justice recently released the new resource as part of its Juvenile Justice GPS (JJGPS) - Geography, Policy, Practice & Statistics (JJGPS), an online resource funded by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. This website features national and state statistics on state laws and juvenile justice practice to help chart juvenile justice system change.

The JJGPS site also features a section on jurisdictional boundaries. Other sections will focus on juvenile defense, racial/ethnic fairness, juvenile justice services, and status offense issues.

JJGPS is one of several strategies in support of juvenile justice reform through the Models for Change initiative.

The National Center for Juvenile Justice is the research division of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges.
