Native American - Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training (NA-SAPST)

The Prevention Specialist Certification Board (PSCBW) is pleased to host the Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training. This training is supported by the Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery, Behavioral Health Administration, WA Department of Social and Health Services. This training is offered to tribal Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) sub-recipients, prevention providers, and prevention coalition partners in the state.


The training includes two components: A self-paced online course entitled “Introduction to Substance Abuse Prevention: Understanding the Basics” and an in-person training. Registrants are expected to participate in both components.
