=========================================

The WA State Liquor and Cannabis Board is holding public meetings throughout the state in November to get input on new marijuana rules drafted as a result of new legislation. While traveling throughout the state, the Board members are also individually meeting with various stakeholder groups.

Ruthann Kurose, WSLCB Board member, will be holding informal conversations (this is separate from the public hearing) with prevention and public health stakeholders regarding how we continue to work together to achieve common goals in these newer environments of alcohol privatization and marijuana legalization. Mary Segawa, WSLCB Public Health Education Liaison, as well as representatives from the Department of Health and from the DSHS Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery will be joining her.

The attached document provides the dates and locations of the meetings. Please note that because the National Prevention Network Conference will be held the week of November 16, the Seattle and Everett conversations are being combined in one meeting held right after the end of the conference. The location of that meeting is yet to be determined.

Public Hearings
If you are interested in attending the public hearings, the schedule for the public hearings is on the second page of the attached document.

You are encouraged to review the Proposed Rules (15-17 2015 Marijuana Legislation Implementation) and comment on them either by emailing the Rules Coordinator at rules@lcb.wa.gov or testifying at one of the public hearings.
