Jaspr Health seeks youth and families to participate in trials for suicide prevention app

Jaspr Health is looking for participants in full randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in 2023 to test a new app for youth and caregivers that is focused on behavioral health and suicide prevention.

Who can participate?

  • Youth ages 15-21 and their parents or legal guardians
  • Youth must have experience with the juvenile justice system (probation, re-entry, etc.)
  • All participants must be fluent in English
  • Youth and caregivers must own an Android or Apple Smart Phone with a data plan
  • Youth and caregivers must reside in same household at least 5 days a week
  • Youth must have lived experience with suicidality and/or self-injury
  • Youth must be willing to discuss their mental wellbeing and suicidality with their caregivers

What is Involved?

  • Youth and caregivers will utilize the app over the period of 4 months and participate in meetings and surveys.
  • Youth and caregivers will receive $200 each for the full pilot, for a total of $400.
