Job Description:
This position’s responsibilities, under general supervision, are to organize and maintain the community substance abuse prevention coalition; provide assistance to the community coalition; to guide the continuous development and implementation of a community substance abuse prevention plan; and provide liaison between the community and evaluators.

Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Health Education, Communications, Social Sciences or related field.
- Minimum three years related experience, including two years in community organizing, program coordination, or community-based programs involving youth, drug/alcohol/tobacco abuse or other related community health prevention or counseling.
- Understanding of substance abuse prevention modalities, local organizations, community leaders and existing services in the community.
- Per the driver's license requirement noted below, must have a driving record acceptable to Risk Management.

Required Credentials:
- Current Washington State Driver’s License.

Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Education, Health Education, Communications, Social Sciences or related field.
- Preference will be given to those with experience and education in the area substance abuse prevention project management.
- Five years increasingly responsible experience with program management, fundraising and grant writing, coordinating work flow, and data and information tracking.
- Experience strategizing and implementing program goals and objectives in a large health care organization.
