Washington Breathes Coalition Forming

Substance abuse professionals and organizations interested in smoking and vaping prevention and nicotine cessation treatment are encouraged to engage in a new statewide coalition. Washington Breathes is launching as a participant-driven, equity-focused partnership to address commercial tobacco and nicotine dependence at a policy, systems, and environmental changes level. 2021 Monitoring the Future Survey outcomes released

The Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan conducts an annual survey completed by students in grades 8, 10 and 12. A subset of that group is tracked through adulthood. Their headline finding of the Monitoring the Future survey this year was that marijuana and hallucinogen use among young adults 19 to 30 years old reached all-time high in 2021.

    Registration for the Tobacco-Free Kids’ sponsored “2022 Youth Advocacy Tour”, is now open.
    It will be held in Vancouver, WA on August 17 & 18.
