This new report from the Institute of Medicine and National Research Council provides a roadmap for improving outcomes for this age group as they transition from adolescence to adulthood.

By tapping the expertise of practitioners working across disciplines, the state has created a coordinated and comprehensive approach that is not only strengthening its prevention efforts but also paving the way for ongoing collaboration.

  • 2015 Midwest Regional Summit on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). March 12-13, 2015, Chicago, IL. Designed to increase awareness of ACEs in the Midwest, conference participants will have the opportunity to explore new research, data, and policy developments related to ACEs; discover how addressing ACES can support health equity and improvement, and influence emerging health reform initiatives; and discuss strategies for understanding and addressing the role of ACEs in the healthcare, mental health, criminal justice, education, and child-serving public systems.
     
  • 4th Annual National Prescription Drug Abuse Summit. April 6-9, 2015, Atlanta, Georgia. Sponsored by Operation UNITE, this conference is the largest national collaboration of prevention professionals, educators, state and national leaders, and advocates affected by prescription drug abuse. Sessions are organized into eight education tracks tailored to provide stakeholders with timely and relevant information for their particular field.
