Available Now - 5th Cohort of NCRE (Native Children’s Research Exchange) Scholars Applications

The application deadline has passed.

Supporting the career development of junior faculty and graduate students interested in pursuing child development research with tribal communities, particularly those who are American Indian, Alaska Native, or First Nations tribal community members, is central to NCRE’s mission. With funding from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), the NCRE Scholars Program provides career development support to early career investigators and graduate students interested in research on Native child and adolescent development and the impact of substance abuse. 

Application Materials:

1.       Completed application form – available at www.ncreconnect.org and attached to this post.

2.       Curriculum vitae

3.       Personal statement – up to 2 pages double-spaced

4.       Paper proposal – up to 2 pages double-spaced

5.       Two letters of reference

  • Application Deadline: Friday August 26, 2016, at 5 pm MT – submit by email to cory.sedey-seitz@ucdenv

  • Decisions: Applicants will be notified of selection decisions by Wednesday August 31, 2016.

  • NCRE 2016 Conference:  NCRE Scholars will be expected to attend this year’s NCRE Conference and present a paper or poster related to their work.  The NCRE conference will be held September 29-30, 2016 on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado.  Registration fees and travel will be covered by the NCRE Scholars program.
