Attend the 2023 NIHB National Tribal Health Conference!

The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) National Tribal Health Conference (NTHC) is the premiere gathering for American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) health policy and public health. It showcases the interconnectedness of policy, advocacy, and Indian health best practices. The NIHB previously held its Tribal Public Health Summit each spring and NTHC each fall. This program combines these conferences.

This conference will be held in-person, on May 1-5, 2023, at the Dena'ina Convention Center in Anchorage, AL. Programming will include:

  • Tribal listening and consultation sessions;
  • Hands-on training opportunities;
  • Plenary sessions and workshops;
  • Focus areas on native youth, tribal veterans, and elders;
  • Exhibit hall and marketplace;
  • Culture night;
  • Poster sessions; and
  • Heroes in health awards gala and outstanding service award.

Scholarships are available for youth and elders who are enrolled members of federally recognized tribes to attend the COVID-19 Youth and Elder Roundtable session at NTHC 2023. NIHB will provide up to 15 youth and 15 elder scholarships to cover recipients' flights, hotel, a daily per diem to cover food and other expenses, and registration. Scholarships will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications are due no later than Friday, April 14. For more information or to submit a scholarship application, contact Moones Akbaran
