4-H Challenge Course Facilitator Training, Weekday Option

Join the Adventure Education Community: become a low-ropes and portable, challenge-course facilitator.  This 4-day, intensive (yet enjoyable) training will allow you to experience low-ropes challenge elements, understand theory, and gain practice for facilitating portable challenge activities.

The 4-H Challenge experience helps youth develop social and emotional life skills such as leadership, team building, communication, and healthy choices.  Challenge activities will help you build a successful learning community in your classroom, after-school program, 4-H program, or other community setting.

The training instructor is Matt Duchow, a certified 4-H Challenge Training with over two decades of challenge experience.

Total cost is $150 -- this includes materials, daily lunch, and instruction fee.  After course completion, new facilitators may receive a discount on the future use of the Gibbs Lake Low-Ropes Challenge Course.

It is geared toward training facilitators who would potentially be able to bring youth groups to the Gibb’s Lake 4-H Challenge Course Facility which is near Chimicum, WA in Jefferson County. However, participation is not limited to the three counties.
