2018 Prevention Internship Program - Summer Cohort

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP) is accepting applications for the 2018 Prevention Internship Program for Tribes and Tribal Organizations. 

Interns are accepted on a location-by-location basis. Please refer to the list of participating locations that will be accepting interns (Visit the SAMHSA/CSAP site and go to bottom of page). Interns will receive a stipend of $15 -20 per hour and will be required to work 40 hours per week from May 16 – September 7, 2018.

Since 2006, the Prevention Fellowship Program has served over 250 fellows and interns. Meanwhile, 45 states including the District of Columbia, eight U.S. territories, three national organizations, eight Drug-Free Communities grantees, and 11 Tribal organizations have supported the program by providing mentorship and field placements to fellows and interns.
