10th Anniversary of Washington State’s Smoking in Public Places Law

December 8, marks the 10th anniversary of Washington State’s implementation of the Smoking in Public Places Law.

Attached you will find a toolkit of materials that the Department of Health has developed to support you in your outreach around the anniversary. All of the content was developed as a guide, but we encourage you to tailor it for your organization and voice, including highlighting any local statistics and outreach activities that you have planned.

Toolkit items include:

  • Key messages on the law, statewide tobacco rates, and the work ahead.
  • Sample social media, including tweets, Facebook posts and imagery (attached).
  • A template newsletter article for you to leverage in a community or partner newsletter.
